QISSA is an online literary zine that publishes poetry, fiction, and non-fiction in both English and Malayalam.

QISSA, meaning fable, signifies the effort to narrate a story, a tale of love, desire, dreaming, happenstance, cherished memories, loss, grief or everyday things. We are inspired by the rich literary and cultural tradition of Malabar with its icons Bashir, Kamala Das, S.K. Pottekkad and others who continue to light the way towards capturing the essence of the everyday in words.
